On September 16, 2025, Saigon University welcomed a delegation from William Angliss Institute (Australia) for a visit and working session. Representing William Angliss Institute were Mr. Wayne Crosbie – Director of International and Business Development, and Mr. Ray Petts – Regional Business Development Manager for Asia.
From Saigon University, the meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Le Minh Triet – Vice Rector, and Mr. Le Khoa Huan – Director of the International Training and Cooperation Center.

Importantly, the working visit was initiated and coordinated through the Vietnam–Australia Startups and Innovation Association (VASIA). Representing VASIA at the meeting was Mr. Anthony Khoa Phan – Founder of the Association, who has played a key role in connecting educational institutions and fostering long-term strategic collaboration between Vietnam and Australia.

Through VASIA’s facilitation, the two institutions discussed potential cooperation in Hospitality and Tourism, focusing on the development of short-term professional courses, international internship programs in Australia, and academic exchange opportunities for lecturers and researchers. These initiatives aim to enhance students’ global employability, language proficiency, and practical experience in international tourism environments.
Both sides also expressed their intention—under VASIA’s ongoing coordination—to develop a comprehensive strategic cooperation roadmap, positioning Saigon University as a leading institution for high-quality human resource training in Tourism, Hospitality, and Restaurant Management, and further expanding Vietnam–Australia educational partnerships.
The meeting took place in a warm and productive atmosphere, marking another significant step in VASIA’s mission to promote international collaboration in education, training, and innovation between the two countries.
